Crafted in Estremoz Pardais marble, our Doric washbasin pays homage to the elegance of the Greek architectural style of the same name. Recognized as the first style of Classical Greek Architecture, the Doric shape is famously seen in the columns of the Parthenon and the Temple of Apollo at Corinth. Inspired by the timeless dedication of Greek architects to create structures that stand the test of time, we named this distinctive piece DORIC. It seamlessly blends classic design with advanced marble-cutting techniques to offer a washbasin that is both highly functional and aesthetically captivating.
As the first cylindrical free-standing washbasin in MAAMI's Bath collection, DORIC becomes the focal point of any bathroom with its stunning visual presence. Crafted from Estremoz Pardais Portuguese marble, known for its warm beige tones interspersed with delicate grey and pink veins, this washbasin exudes a subtle yet sophisticated charm. The linear carving contrasts with the smooth, polished finish, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of your space.
The DORIC washbasin is carved from a single large block of marble, which is expertly divided and cut into four separate sections. This precise division not only ensures a harmonious alignment of the marble’s natural veins but also facilitates easier transportation and installation of the final piece.
Each DORIC washbasin is hand-finished, following a meticulous production process involving advanced marble cutting and turning machines, resulting in a masterpiece of minimal look and functionality.
