Solinas
A wine barrel, flattened to coffee-table height.
Solinas is a low, round marble coffee table on a dark cast-aluminium base, its top polished to a shine rather than left matte. We drew the subtle curved lines from the shape of a wine barrel and borrowed the proportions from furniture of the 1950s, then set it low and wide to anchor a seating area rather than fill it. We cast the base in aluminium and lacquer it in a gun-metal tone.
For the top we take it past matte to a full polish, so the stone reads bright against the dark metal. We finish it by hand and pair it with the Diamerisma table.

- A white Italian marble with soft grey veining, bright under the polished finish.
