Silhouette
Stone, cut into rings of light.
Silhouette is a marble floor lamp built from stacked stone rings, wide at the shoulder and narrowing toward the base. It carries the same idea as the Lumi in a different shape. Light reads out through the gaps between the rings and, where we run the stone thin, glows through it, so the whole outline is traced in warm light. The shape holds the eye from across a room.
The stone is worked to a fine, fragile limit on the 5-axis CNC we program, then finished by hand, each band cut so the veining steps cleanly from one ring to the next. It settles in just as well at home as in a workplace, a restaurant or a bar.

- It is a white Italian marble with grey and gold veining. Across stacked bands the veining shifts ring by ring, and the warm light reads it from within.
