Elementar
Where the stone ends and the joinery begins, you stop being able to tell.
Elementar is a long, low sideboard that puts machine-cut marble next to hand-built joinery and lets the two meet flush. We run it as a bench of drawers, some fronted in marble, some in walnut veneer, so the cabinet reads as one calm line along a wall. The name points at what we set out to do, take the elementary parts, stone and wood, and bring them together cleanly.
We machine the marble fronts from our own programming, then our joiners build and finish the cabinetry by hand. The walnut veneer we varnish to keep its natural tone. Getting the stone and the wood to sit flush at the join is where the bench earns its name, and where the hours go.

What is the Elementar made of?
Marble and walnut. It is a low sideboard of drawers fronted in stone and in walnut veneer, cut on machines and finished by hand.
What configurations are there?
Four. Two layouts run three wooden drawers, and two replace one of them with a stone drawer, mixing stone and wood fronts along the bench.
Is it a TV bench?
Its long, low proportion suits a media wall or a living-room bench as much as a hallway sideboard.
