Podium
Boxes of solid stone, stacked like a low skyline.
Podium is a long sideboard built from marble boxes of different sizes and angles, the stone mitre-cut and glued so it wraps each corner with no seam on show. We use the volumes for quiet, almost hidden storage, and keep the surface all stone, no wood and no visible metal.
We machine each box from our own programming, the mitre cut so the veining carries around the corner unbroken, then glue the stone by hand over a lacquered core and finish the fronts to a polished shine. Reading the block and setting the cut so the vein runs on across the join is the slow part, and where the hours go.

- A classic Portuguese white marble, soft and warm in tone, polished across the stacked boxes.
- Grey Kendzo
- A stronger, darker run across the stacked boxes.
- Calacatta
- A white marble with bold, unstructured veining running from grey to gold, drifting across the volumes.

What is the Podium made of?
