Edge

A square metre of solid stone, and nothing else.
Edge L is a coffee table clad entirely in marble, a low square block with no visible legs or frame, the coffee-table member of the Edge series. Every face is the same stone, and we read the block first so the veining runs unbroken from the top down each side. To hold that, we mitre the corners over a hidden panel and glue them tight, then finish the block by hand in a honed matte, which is where the hours go.
We level the whole piece on adjustable feet underneath, out of sight, so it reads as one solid form. It is genuinely heavy, a piece that holds the centre of a room and stays there. Its smaller relative is the Edge H side table.
Edge H is a side table clad entirely in marble, a clean rectangular block with no visible legs or frame. It is the smaller member of the Edge series, and we built it to bring one stone, fully, into a living space. We keep the whole surface to the same marble and read the block so the vein runs unbroken as it turns each corner.
By stone
- Kunis Brescia
- A warm-hued stone with characteristic veining and mineral fragments.

Good to know
Does the Edge have legs?
No. Both sizes are clad entirely in marble as a single clean block, with no visible legs or base. Adjustable feet underneath keep them level.
What is the difference between Edge H and Edge L?
Size and use. Edge H is the side table, Edge L the larger coffee table, both the same design.
How heavy is it?
Very heavy. These are solid marble blocks made to hold the centre of a room and stay where they are placed, not to be moved often.
Which stones can I choose?
Kunis Brescia, Gris Alvito, Arabescato, Atlantic Blue limestone and Tundra Grey.
Who designed the Edge?
Sérgio Costa, in 2015.
Technical Integrity
Natural stone exhibits variations in veining, colour, and texture inherent to its geological origin. Each MAAMI HOME piece is unique. The images shown are representative, not definitive.
