Quina's Evolution
Born as a natural extension of our design philosophy, Quina emerges as the latest addition to our family of meticulously crafted pieces. Conceived as a response to the demand for elegant yet functional design, Quina embodies the essence of sophistication and versatility. Quina series is the first collection at MAAMI HOME that features glass table top for side and coffee tables. Our visionary designer, Mónica Oliveira, who’s been with us for 3 years, embarked on her first creative odyssey to bring Quina to life, drawing inspiration from nature's timeless beauty and the desire to enhance everyday living spaces.
When asked about the inspiration for her Quina series Monica Oliveria said:
"In the past three years, my focus has been on enhancing sustainability in our company's packaging processes and materials. Now, I'm eager to embark on a creative journey. As the first product of my design launched by the brand, I want it to be both special and meaningful, not just another piece. Growing up in a large family where interaction and sharing were central, inspired by my maternal grandmother (VóQuina), I aim to create a collection of elegant, personality-filled tables for various gathering spaces in the home, such as the living room and dining room. The idea of creating an element that would be present in the moments of interaction and sharing of other families became the inspiration for this project."
Craftsmanship and Innovation
Each Quina table is blending cutting-edge technology with traditional craftsmanship. From the initial design phase to the final finishing touches, every step of the production process is executed with precision and care. Utilizing state-of-the-art machinery alongside the skilled hands of our artisans, we ensure that each Quina table meets the highest standards of quality. The production of Quina tables includes working with 5-axis CNC machine to achieve the asymmetrical shape of the legs, topped off with colored glass that matches the tones of the natural stone while each one is hand-finished by our artisans to maintain the highest quality.
Shape and Design
The distinctive silhouette of Quina is characterized by its sleek lines and minimalist aesthetic, reflecting our signature design DNA. The legs of the side and coffee tables are meticulously shaped to evoke a sense of elegance and playfullness with its asymmetrical lines, always maintaining a harmonious balance between form and function. Whether adorning a cozy corner or serving as the centerpiece of the living room, Quina exudes timeless sophistication and charm.
Customization Options
At MAAMI HOME, we understand that every space is unique, which is why we offer a range of customization options for Quina. We provide a wide choice of natural stone selection for the marble base displaying a broad range of color tones to fit the aesthetics of the chosen space. Our favorite options are Estremoz Lagoa, Arabescato Corchia, and Spider Grey, each imbued with its own distinct personality. Each glass top can be made either in square or round shapes to reflect individual style and function.
