Paço
One curved rail, from the back to the arms.
Paço is an oak chair with a round upholstered seat, its back and arms drawn as a single curved rail. Four legs carry the rail and open outward toward the floor, so the chair stands wide and sits steady.
We keep the drawing to three parts, the legs, the rail and the seat, and let the oak and the stitching carry the rest. The seat is upholstered in leather. The rail is left in bare oak, or wrapped in leather and stitched along its length, so the same chair reads as wood in one room and as leather in the next.
