Mare
A bathtub carved from one block of stone, drain and all.
Mare is a freestanding bathtub carved from a single block of travertine, with chisel-cut grooves running around the rim and a drainage system worked into the stone itself. It is the heaviest, most monolithic piece we make, one continuous block from the outer wall to the drain. We keep the whole bath in one piece of stone because that is the harder way to do it and it is what the material deserves.
We rough the block on the 5-axis from our own programming, then the hours go into the finish, worked by hand in an open-pore honed matte with the grooves chiselled around the rim. Every tub carries the pores and small mineral marks of the travertine it came from.

The Mare is a freestanding bathtub and takes a wall-mounted or floor-mounted bath filler; the tap is not part of the tub.
How does the Mare drain?
Through an integrated stone drainage system worked into the block, connected to the waste in the floor.
