Stonesis Washbasin
What the cutting floor leaves behind, gathered into one basin.
Drum takes its name from its own shape, a low cylinder with a straight, continuous wall that sits on the counter like a quiet vessel. It is made in Stonesis, the material we developed from our own marble waste, the slurry, powder and chips left over from cutting stone. Each basin gathers those fragments into one body, so the pattern falls differently every time and no two are alike.
We start from a single Stonesis body, carve the bowl on the machine we program and finish the surface by hand in a honed matte. The bowl is shallow and round, with the drain at its centre and no hole for a tap, so it pairs with a wall-mounted tap and keeps the counter clear. It is available across the full Stonesis range.

What is Stonesis?
A material developed by Maami Home and TCC Whitestone from recovered marble waste, up to about three quarters marble by-product bound in a cementitious matrix, so the basin is made largely from stone that would otherwise be discarded.
How is the Drum installed?
It sits on the counter as a stand-alone basin. It is 39 cm across and 10 cm tall, and weighs about 15 kg.
What tap does it take?
A wall-mounted tap, or a tall countertop mixer set beside it, since the basin has no tap hole of its own.
Is every Drum the same?
No. The fragments of stone fall differently in every Stonesis body, so the pattern is never repeated.
