Lumi S
A cylinder of stone that glows from within.
Lumi S is a marble table lamp, the table-sized Lumi, a rounded cylinder of stone banded by a few fine cuts near the top. Where we carve the stone thin it turns translucent, so a warm light passes through the marble itself while the slots draw it out in clean lines. It sits easily on a bedside table, in a reading corner or among the books on a shelf, doing its work without asking for the room.
We shape the body on the 5-axis machine we program and finish it by hand, from a single piece of stone. Because every one is cut from natural marble, the veining lands differently each time, so the glow falls through a pattern that belongs to that lamp alone.
By stone
- Calacatta
- It is a white marble with bold, unstructured veining running from grey to gold. Carved thin, it lets the warm light read through the veins as much as through the slots.
- Calacatta Viola
- It carries deep aubergine and black veins drifting across a white ground, no two slabs alike. Lit from within, the colour deepens and the veining turns into the lamp's pattern of light.
- Estremoz
- It is a classic Portuguese white marble, soft and warm in tone, here carved to let its natural translucency show. The glow that passes through it is gentle and even.
